The Mill on Etowah is is located in the former historic “Canton Cotton Mill No. 1.” This property was first established in 1899, by Robert Tyre Jones a local businessman to produce cotton thread but soon the focus of production became denim. “Canton Denim” as it was popularly called, gave Canton its identity and boom in the early 1900s.
Over 100 years later, Denim Fest is celebrating this city’s past, honoring its history and looking forward to a bright future.Visit www.etowahmill.com/event/denimfest for more information.
